Misery Island Cookout
October 9, 2021

Mark your calendar for one of PCYC Regatta Committee's

most popular events of the season.

There won’t be any misery on Misery Island come October 9.  Come join the PCYC Regatta Committee for our annual Misery Island Cookout.  What better way to wind down the 2021 sailing season and connect with your fellow PCYC sailing members than to have a potluck beach gathering. So, please feel free to bring a dish to share. We usually have a portable grill or two, and if you have one, please consider bringing it along.

Our Misery Island Picnic has always been a nice way to bring the PCYC sailing community together for some good food, drinks, and a few good laughs.

The tentative schedule is the following:

Meet at PCYC around 09:30 so we can get an idea of who is going. If you can’t or are not interested in taking your own boat, no problem, as there is always another boat willing to take on an additional crew member or two.  In fact, it’s best to boat pool since mooring availability is never known until we get out there. And as you know, a majority of these moorings are privately owned so anchoring is another option.

Once on the island, you’ll have the whole afternoon to eat, drink, and explore the many well-marked trails this beautiful island has to offer. If you have a tender, especially one with an engine, bring it along as that would help in shuttling people and gear back and forth to shore.

If you're interested in going or have any questions, please feel free to email us  pcycregatta@gmail.com
